The Music of Matter
The principles of harmonics, long understood by musicians, are the same principles that govern the laws of physics. Every octave of energy, whether within the range of human perception or far beyond it, follows the same structural pattern. Each octave differs from the next only in scale and in the amount of energy required to sustain the oscillation.
The chart below illustrates one hundred octaves of vibration, beginning at 1 cycle per second and extending upward to
1,267,650,600,228,229,401,496,703,205,376 Hz
or more than a million billion billion cycles per second.
I have not tuned this chart to Standard Pitch, where A = 440 Hz. Instead I have used Scientific Pitch (sometimes called Philosophical Pitch), in which Middle C = 256 Hz and A = 426⅔ Hz.
It is worth noting that some people incorrectly add the repeating closed-cycle 6 to the open portion of this value and refer to it as A = 432 Hz. This is a misunderstanding of the repeating fractional notation.
The reason for using Scientific Pitch is mathematical alignment. The frequencies generated under this system relate cleanly to foundational mathematical relationships. Standard Pitch, by contrast, produces many irrational values that break the harmonic symmetry of the system.
From the perspective adopted here, Scientific Pitch reflects a deeper harmonic consistency with the fractal structure of the Conscious Field itself.
At sufficiently high octaves of light, far beyond the region normally associated with gamma radiation, light condenses into what we recognize as the ten octaves of matter.
Beyond the octaves of matter lie still higher ranges of vibration sometimes described as the octaves of lower astral light. At this point along the scale we approach the boundary where Western science begins to intersect with questions traditionally explored within human spirituality.
“As above, so below.”
As the vibrations of light increase to ever higher frequencies, light penetrates further into the subtler regions of the conscious field. In other words, it approaches ever higher expressions of universal consciousness.
